Cherrybrook fc, a club based in Wigan, was formed in 2007, by a group of friends wishing to provide entertainment for their children during the long summer holidays.
The team went on to win the Highfield Grange silver Jubilee tournament and from this, the club was formed with firstly an under 9's team, followed by an under 7's. The club now has representative teams at various levels from under 6 to open age.
The teams currently play in the North West Mini Soccer League based at Robin Park. Club training also takes place at Robin Park on a tuesday evening between 5:30 and 6:30 to which all the squads are invited.
Despite only forming in 2007 the club has already developed excellent relations with a number of premiership clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City, Wigan Athletic and Liverpool and a number of cherrybrook players attend their academies.
