Cherrybrook, a club based in Wigan, was formed in 2007, by a group of friends wishing to provide entertainment for their children during the long summer holidays.
The team went on to win the Highfield Grange silver Jubilee tournament and from this, the club was formed with firstly an under 9's team, followed by an under 7's.
The teams currently play in the North West Mini Soccer League based at Robin Park.
Despite only forming in 2007 the club has already developed excellent realtions with a number of premiership clubs including Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool and a number of cherrybrook players attend their academies.
Being Wigan Athletic supporters, the club has developed close ties with the coaches and scouts of Wigan Athletic and we share their aspirations in developing local children in order for them to represent Wigan Athletic's centre of excellence. In this aim, the club has been particularly successful identifying in total 16 boys who will represent Wigan Athletic at various age groups.
The club is always looking for children with talent and if you feel that your child has potential please contact us using the CONTACT US link at the bottom of the toolbar
